If the primary bill is submitted but the bill is not fully paid, then the secondary billing system activates.
Permissions: Payroll & Billing, Allowed Pages > Submission Report
- From the Dashboard, select the Billing option in the Client/Employee/Doctor field and the Submission Report option in the Select a Transaction field.
- Click the Enter button. The submission report window displays.
- Enter the appropriate criteria for your report and click the Update View button.
- The claim you are looking for will be marked as PENDING SECONDARY.
- Check-off READY TO BILL for that claim.
- Click Mark as Ready to Bill on the left-hand side of the screen as is done for other claims.
- The bill for the client’s secondary payer will be submitted with your daily billing.
